All eyes on Jessica Alba

Wearing a navy blue dress, Jessica Alba made her noticeable baby bump fashionably vogue. Her radiating face and lovely figure is doing nicely as her pregnancy moves forward. I predict she's going to have a girl.

Jessica Alba and Cash Warren proudly poses for the photogs.

Speaking of predictions, Jessica Alba was out in full force with and without her coat on for a cold night of the Los Angeles Premiere of "The Eye." In the Lionsgate feature, Alba plays Sydney Wells, an accomplished, independent, Los Angeles-based concert violinist. Blind after a childhood accident, Sydney undergoes a double corneal transplant which gives her sight. Her opthamologist Dr. Faulkner (Alessandro Nivola) help her adjust to her new found sight. However, along with her sight includes seeing the afterlife and beyond. From blurry figures to horrific images, Sydney sees more than she could imagine.

For the sight of the photographers, we didn't see any horrific fashion faux paus. Everyone on the carpet looked lovely. Guests who walked the red carpet included Girard Swan from the film "3:10 To Yuma," Bahar Soomekh of "Traffic," and Brazilian actor Dennis DiAngelo. From the movie, we also had co-directors David Moreau and Xavier Palud, Alessandro Nivola, Obba Babatunde, Fernanda Romera and Danny Mora.

The the dark maned beauty Bahar Soomekh shows how sultry she can be.

"3:10 To Yuma" star Girard Swan still has that roughneck cowboy look going on while wearing a suit.

"The Eye" Co-directors David Moreau and Xavier Palud brings back the grunge look with a mix of clean cut fashion.

The dashingly handsome Alessandro Nivola plays Jessica's opthamologist in the movie.

Fernanda Romera of "The Eye" makes a grand entrance with a tinted purple number.

Hard working film producer Paula Wagner shows that she knows how to work the carpet and strike a pose.

Guest Dennis DiAngelo shows his pearly whites to the camera.

For some of the photographers, Danny Mora was telling his lovely guest that these are the paparazzi. This irritated a few event photographers who actually corrected Danny Mora stating, "We're not chasing celebrities on the street. We've been invited and have credentials to take pictures. We're event photographers." But overall, other than that, the premiere went on without a hitch.

I think I better take some ear plugs next time especially if the lead actress is someone like Jessica Alba.

"The Eye" opens on February 1.

Hudson and McConaughey Search for "Fool's Gold" on Hollywood Blvd

Brrrrr...It's cold in here. There must be something in the atmosphere. Opps, wrong movie. But it definitely was brrrrr cold night for the "Fool's Gold" world premiere at the Grauman's Chinese Theater last night. The wind was also playing tricks on the ladies dresses and the men's styled hair. The wind was so strong that a fellow photographer was almost knocked to the ground but of course your very own blogger grab a hold of the photographer before he could hit the ground.

As for the female lead, Miss Kate Hudson was fashionably late but we forgave her because of her beautiful smile and happy go lucky attitude.

In "Fool's Gold," Hudson plays Tess Finnegan, the lovely wife of Ben "Finn" Finnegan (Matthew McConaughey). All is not good with Tess and Finn as the treasure hunter obsessed with finding the legendary 18th Century Queen's Dowry of exotic treasures lost at sea in 1715 sinks their marriage. After taking control of her own life by working on billionaire Nigel Honeycutt's (Donald Sutherland) yacht, Finn comes back into the picture when he discovers a secret to finding the treasure and uses his charm and witts to manipulate Honeycutt into joining him on the quest for the dowries. Along the way, against her own better judgement, Tess falls back in love with Finn.

The smile on Kate Hudson's face made many event photographers forget that they've been waiting at least 21/2hrs in the bitter windy cold night, to snap the lovable Hudson.

Earlier in the evening, film director Andy Tennant's wife Sharon had her own wardrobe malfunction as she stepped out of their limo. A breeze lifted her dress within seconds of her exiting the limo. Sharon had to dive back in and wrap her coat around her waist.

Sharon wasn't the only one with major malfunctions. Matthew McConaughey's fiance, Camilla Alves had to put her coat back on as the wind played tricks with her dress by blowing the front of the dress upwards. Thank god she was quick to react by putting her purse down in front of her dress.

As for the coldness, I have to give major kudos to Alexis Dziena (plays Donald Sutherland's daughter in the film) as she posed for the photographers for at least 20 to 30 mins without a moment of putting her coat back on. She definitely was a trouper as I shouted to Alexis, "Think of your warm location shoots from the movie." She replied back, "Warm thoughts! Warm thoughts!"

For Donald, his hair was tossed about as the wind started back up on Hollywood Blvd.

Well, it's time for me to take a warm shower and keep me warm for the next movie premiere - "The Eye" starring Jessica Alba.

Until next time on the red carpet, "Over the shoulder!"

"Fool's Gold" opens this coming February 8, 2008. Check your local listings for the theater near you.

Eva Longoria Parker drives past Wisteria Lane with Over Her Dead BodyHe

Tonight, it seemed more like being on Wisteria Lane than on the red carpet for Eva Longoria Parker's new film "Over Her Dead Body." As the traffic started on the red carpet, the Desperate Housewives star had co-stars Felicity Huffman and Nicolette Sheridan stop by to check out what's "Over Her Dead Body."

The first of the Wisteria Lane women was Felicity Huffman dress in all black sans husband William H. Macy. She took some time to take pictures but did not do any video interviews. As for the sultry Nicolette Sheridan, she was dressed in an off white satiny dress with her mate, Michael Bolton, at her side. Nicolette looked blazingly hot as she showered the event photographers with her rays of sexiness.

The lovely Felicity Huffman dressed down for the event.

Nicolette Sheridan looking youthful

As for Mrs. Parker, she dress in a dark pink dress adorned with a flower on the left side of her waist. Her garb definitely help make her face radiate as she beamed with smiles for us to snap away at. Eva definitely can make the list as an angel in heaven. However, in her new film, Eva plays Kate who is killed on her wedding day by a freak accident. Not ready to move on to the next life, Kate lingers on as she sees her fiance starting to fall for Ashley, a psychic who is trying to help Henry (Paul Rudd) get over the loss of his fiance.

Eva looks pretty in pink.

Jason Biggs also strolled the carpet along side with girlfriend Lindsay Zir. They locked lips a few times to show their love for each other. What a cute thing to see especially since the film dealt with love.

Other red carpet rollers included cast members Lake Bell, Kali Rocha, Stephen Root, and Lindsay Sloane. Guest included the dimple smiling Mario Lopez, Matt Cedeno, and Christina Applegate.

Christina Applegate has no amnesia when it comes to the red carpet.

Jim Carrey makes a jump from bridge

On this cold and damp Monday morning, Jim Carrey was contemplating a jump that would take him to new heights literally. Being game for anything, this crazy A-list actor hadn't originally comtemplated doing a bungee jump in any movie.

However, for his upcoming movie, "Yes Man" out December 19, his girlfriend played by Zooey Deschanel figuratively tell him to jump off a bridge. Carrey decided it was time to take a leap of faith and actually jump off a bridge bungee style. Since his character is based upon a man who signs up for a self-help program based upon on simple principle of saying yes to everything, the comedic actor thought that it would be best if he did the stunt himself rather than a stuntman.

Family and friends were their for support. While he climbed the platform specially mounted on the Colorado/Arroyo Seco Bridge in Pasadena, Ca., longtime girlfriend Jenny McCarthy and 20-year-old daughter Jane stood by nervously waiting for Carrey to make his leap.

Watching from the bottom of the bridge, we could see the tense look on Carrey's face as he waved back at us readying our cameras to capture his death defying jump. In less than 3 seconds, Jim leap-frogged off the platform and plunged 130 feet down. Being jerked around like doll tied to a rope of rubberband, Carrey gave the thumbs up once his body was still and dangling from the bungee cord. As part of the movie, he pulls out a cell phone and makes a successful phone call.

"That's one small step for man, one giant leap for comedy," he cracked.

Coming up and being on solid concrete ground, Carrey's face had that nervous and relieved look with a hint of adrenalin that he may want to do it again. A reporter asked, "Would you ever want to do it again?" Cracking a smile, he said, "Yes, but not today."

"No Country For Old Men Lead" the SAG Awards

Okay. I ended staying home for the SAGS. I totally forgot to request credentials this year. Especially with this being the a much more celebrity studded event than the Golden Globes., many celebrities were there for the award show that is given to actors by actors. Unfortunately, it was a wet afternoon/evening as the red carpet opened for business. According to one of my photographer colleagues, this red carpet had more meaning because it pretty much opened up the award season which is usually reserved for the over top Golden Globes.

Photographers gunned down by Rambo

After being invited to cover the "Rambo" premiere in Las Vegas that happened last night, the rug was pulled from under photographers who had requested coverage at least a few weeks in advance. The hopes of covering the event were gunned downed due to the fact that the premiere was moved inside the Planet Hollywood Hotel instead of the outside area. Only four photographers were supposedly cleared to cover the event while the majority of photo agencies were left out in the cold. These things happen especially when logistics change for a premiere.

Other than that, it looked like it was a family affair and muscle affair with Sylvester's family attending, our muscled California Governator Arnold and various cast members walking down the blood red carpet.

Sylvester Stallone revises his role as John Rambo. Living in solitude in the jungles of Thailand, Rambo's peaceful existence is shatttered as human rights missionaries search him out to assist them in delivering medical supplies to Burma. However, the missionaries are captured by the Burmese Army and Rambo must decide if he should break through the Burmese war zone and rescue them.

According to my colleague, Angela Dawson, who attended the press junket a few weeks ago, Stallone makes no apologies for "Rambo's" graphic violence. "As we're speaking, people are dying and being tortured in a more brutal fashion than we could ever imagine," Stallone says.

Rambo opens wide today, January 25.

Just because I like Dave Gahan - Hourglass Remixes

Well I know this isn't a red carpet event post but just because I like Dave Gahan, I decided to post this press release I just received. I'm sure there's other fans out there.

DAVE GAHAN will follow 2007's HOURGLASS with a vinyl collection of remixes of songs from the critically acclaimed album. HOURGLASS - REMIXES, scheduled for March 11th release via Mute/Virgin Records, features Juan Maclean, Booka Shade, Kap10Kurt, Maps, T. Raumschmiere, Digitalism, Onur Ozer and Sebastien Leger taking on tracks such as hit single "Kingdom," (recently #1 on Billboard's Singles chart and #5 on the Hot Dance Club Play chart), "Deeper & Deeper," "Use You" and "Saw Something" plus "Love Will Leave," a b-side from the HOURGLASS sessions. The collection will mark the first time many of these versions have been released physically in the United States; numerous selections that have been available only as imports until now.

HOURGLASS - REMIXES, which will include a free CD, will be available exclusively through thinkindie.com, which services the best independent music retailers in America with exclusive and rare items that are not available via major chain and big-box stores. The bonus CD includes all eight tracks from the vinyl plus three additional remixes. Visit thinkindie.com for a complete list of outlets.

With his second solo album, the Depeche Mode front man emerged as a gifted songwriter, masterfully capturing man's race against -- and fear of running out of - time. Filter's "Good Music Guide" called the album "astonishingly brilliant…squaring off with everything from nihilism to the tyranny of humans. And all the while aching for something of real value and consequence" while Rolling Stone noted: "Hourglass goes all the way electro…Gahan broods over God and humanity and the bleakness of existence in ballads like 'Kingdom' and 'Saw Something.' But he gets off a fantastic sex-hound growl in 'Use You,' with a gospel vibe recalling Songs of Faith and Devotion."

GAHAN's LIVE FROM SOHO, recorded in October at the Apple Store in New York City, was released on iTunes on December 18th and he recently performed on NPR's "World Café."

The HOURGLASS - REMIXES track listing is as follows:

Hardly Untraceable - Diane Lane and cast attend Los Angeles Premiere of Untraceable

Apparently for the public it was an untraceable premiere for them when trying to find the World Premiere of "Untraceable." The low keyed premiere happened at the Pacific Design Center. Looking lovely as ever in her satiny, silky green dress, Diane Lane was smiling for the cameras and did quite a number of video interviews.

Diane Lane stars as Special Agent Jennifer Marsh who has found her match in a tech-savvy internet predator who displays his graphic murders on his own website in which his victims fate lies in the hands of the public. The more hits to his website, the faster his victims die.

"Untraceable" opens January 25 nationwide.

The lovely Diane Lane being eyed by Special Agent Jennifer Marsh.

Diane along with beau Josh Brolin.

Also walking the carpet were co-stars Erin Carufel, Colin Hanks, Joseph Cross, Billy Burke and director Gregory Hoblit. Supporting the movie included guests Majandra Delfino and Colin Hanks' mother, Rita Wilson.

Looks like Erin Carufel is following in the footsteps of Diane with a green dress.

The young Joseph Cross is no longer "Running with Scissors" but is now "Untraceable."

Billy Burke! Watch your movements, Diane has her eye on you!

Colin Hanks takes a quick minute to smile for the cameras. Guess he's still not used to the photogs like his father is since he rushed into the theater while walking the carpet.

Miss Majandra Delfino poses like a model. Hot hot hot!!!

Director Gregory Hoblit disconnects the internet to get to the premiere.

Miley Cyrus and Ashley Tisdale Kiss at Hannah Montana 3D Premiere

Friends have been coming up to me and asking me if Miley and Ashley actually liplocked on the red carpet especially with the photo that is on the various gossip and blog sites. Well if you check out this better angled photo, you'll see that Miley actually kisses Ashley on the side of her cheek. From this shot you can see it was all fun in games. You can also see that Ashley was a bit surprised and pulled back a bit. Sorry to all of you crazy people out there that want to read more into it.

Upcoming premieres for the week of January 21, 2008 - Untraceable

It looks like it's going to be a slow week for movie premieres this coming week. The only big premiere is Untraceable starring Diane Lane. For those fans of Ms. Lane, the premiere will be held at the Pacific Design Center in West Hollywood, CA on January 22.

It might be a bit hard to get a glimpse of her since the Design Center usually doesn't have many premieres. It may be set inside so not sure if they will let the public in to watch the premiere go down. No worries, you can come back on January 23 and I'll have photos up for you guys to view.

Check out the trailer.
