This past Monday, Scarlett Johansson along with Jennifer Aniston, Jennifer Connelly, Ginnifer Goodwin and Drew Barrymore set the fashion tone for the premiere of "He's Just Not That Into You."
For Johansson, she was a pleasant surprise as she sported her new burgundy/auburn hair color and a hot printed dress. According to an interview, Johansson loves to change it up a bit for surprise and surprise she did.
For Aniston, she wore a simple pant suit with her hair tied back. Drew Barrymore took more of a short cocktail dress approach. Wearing back accented by a peachy colored fringe.

Jennifer Connelly wasn't scared of sequins as she sported a short green dress capped off with bedazzled shoes.
For the men, it was the regular suit and tie.
Mr Affleck looked complacent as he walked down the carpet with not much a smile but licking his lips every so often. Hmm, I noticed that he's done that at every single event I've taken his picture at.
Ben Affleck

As for the lone Asian celebrity, Leonardo Nam, he didn't garner as many photogs shooting his pictures. I don't understand as has one the most hilarious line in the movie, "Myspace is the new booty call." Oh well, I guess America is ready for a bi-racial president but not Asian celebs or maybe the Photogs "were just not that into him."

"He's Just Not That Into You" opens nationwide today.
Yesterday, the new Clint Eastwood film "Gran Torino" opened to a limited audience. For the World Premiere, the media coverage was even more limited.
Clint Eastwood.
Many wonder why such an interesting movie as "Gran Torino" would have a limited World Premiere event that the general public would not have access to. The premiere was held at the Stephen J. Ross Theater on the Warner Bros. Lot in Burbank secluded away from the public.
Your guess is good as mine. It could be that Eastwood is very private person and when it comes to premieres he's a bit reluctant to pose. I can imagine being in the limelight for so long that one would rather have the public concentrate on the film itself than the usual package of a premiere.
However, it was still a pleasure to be a part of that history of seeing Mr. Eastwood walk down a carpet for his film. As an American of the Asian persuasion, it ws even more endearing to see newcomers, Bee Vang and Ahney Her walk the carpet in support of their film with Eastwood.
Young Ahney Her posed like a veteran for the photographers. Watching her naturally move along the carpet was so refreshing. She knew the step and repeat process of a premiere. Automatically putting her hands on her hips and knowing that it takes some flexibility to do an "Over The Shoulder" pose illustrates that Ahney is ready to take Hollywood by storm just like fellow young Asian American actors such as Justin Chon and Aaron Yoo.
In the film, Ahney plays Sue Lor, sister of Thao Vang Lor (played by Bee Vang). The two are neighbors of Korean War Veteran Walt Kowalski (Clint Eastwood). As he watches his neighborhood slowly integrate with Hmong refugees, his widowed life becomes more bitter. One fateful night, Thao sets out to still Kowalski's prized possession, a Gran Torino car. That events sets into motion, a bond between Kowalski, Thao and his family.

Back to the carpet, Alison Eastwood showed her support for her father. Along for her ride was her husband Stacey. Funny thing was when a photog asked, who's with her, she jokingly said, "That's my husband Stacey, just like the girl's name." I wonder if she was supposed to be a comedian or just a director.
Alison Eastwood.
A big surprise of the night was Angelina Jolie. What a delight to shoot her today in a row. However, she was a bit more casual in an olive long sleeved blouse and black pants than a flowing fashion number the night before.
She was so accommodating with the photographers posing for at least 10 minutes.
Last night was a black tie affair premiere for the new Brad Pitt and Cate Blanchett film "The Curious Case of Benjamin Button." While heading through the carpet, an interesting sound resonated through the air as Sharon Stone walked on the carpet ignoring the event photographers! Could it be that they were excited to see Sharon on the carpet. Nooo...not a chance, it came to light that Ms. Stone was going to do her usual ignore the accredited photographers while walking down the carpet.
Sharon Stone breezes through the carpet!
This time, Stone would be verbally stoned as she ignored us. One photographer was heard saying, "We're not the paps, we're here to give you publicity!" Then all of sudden, she was booed throughout the carpet. Another photog shouted, "Come on Sharon! If Angelina can give us respect and pose, so can you!" While another blasted Stone by saying, "Sharon! Make up for the Milkshop.com fiasco. You made us resort to papping you at that event!"
Angelina Jolie
Getting back to Angelina, she was so gracious enough as we asked nicely, "Angelina please come back! We didn't get any solo shots." To our amazement, she made the effort of coming back around a stanchion to pose for us red carpet photographers.
I guess she knows the difference between paps and event photographers that her significant other explained in an interview with Access Hollywood:
"Let me be very blunt, I hate them," Brad said firmly. "I hate these people. I don't understand how they do that for a living."
Brad Pitt sportin' a stache!
However, Brad was quick to distinguish between professional photographers and hounding paparazzi.
"We have to make a distinction between people who photograph celebrities at events and people who climb over walls wearing camouflage... calling out your kids' names as you try to take them to school so they'll look that way," Brad said, "I have no respect for these people. There should be laws against it. They should not be able to follow kids like this, but there's not right now, so that's the way it is."
As for Brad on the carpet, he's always a delight in photographing on the carpet. During this premiere, he actually gave us a treat by having his parents pose with Angelina and him.
As for his cast mates, they definitely worked with the camera. Unfortunately for Ms. Blanchett, buzz about her outfit was negative. Many loved the sequenced dress but when starting to move the eyes lower, the dress was ruined by some sort of spandex material that wrapped around her thighs. Oh well, sometimes it's good and sometimes it's bad.
Jennifer Lopez
A surprise for all of us was the attendance of Jennifer Lopez. She definitely knows that cream makes her sexy. Wow, she brought back her bodacious body after having kids.
Eva Longoria had a nice aqua shiny number on that made her eyes sparkle.
Eva Longoria
The icing on the cake would have been Tom and Kate plus Will and Jada, but that didn't happen.
Anyways more about the film according to Paramount Pictures: “I was born under unusual circumstances.” And so begins “The Curious Case of Benjamin Button,” adapted from the 1920s story by F. Scott Fitzgerald about a man who is born in his eighties and ages backwards. A man, like any of us, unable to stop time. We follow his story set in New Orleans from the end of World War I in 1918, into the 21st century, following his journey that is as unusual as any man’s life can be. Directed by David Fincher, “The Curious Case of Benjamin Button” is a time traveler’s tale of the people and places he bumps into along the way, the loves he loses and finds, the joys of life and the sadness of death, and what lasts beyond time.
If you're not used to screaming girls (I mean who is?), then the Twilight Premiere in the Westwood area of Los Angeles would not be your favorite place. With over two thousand movie goer plus the fans lining the street was a crazy scene for a premiere.
This is one of the loudest premiere events I have been to except for any of the "Pirates" premiere. After camping out for two days, many fans were yelling and screaming throughout the day at the Mann's Village and Bruin Theaters in Westwood Village. One fan said she had camped out for two days just to be in the front row of the fan line.
Twilight fever has definitely taken over the U.S. from people wanting to visit the small rural town in Forks, WA to rushing out to the bookstores to purchase the "Twilight" books.
You wonder why is all this craziness is happening. Take a group of Vampires that attend high school with one in particular Edward that sweeps a young beautiful teen Bella off her feet bring romance, passion and the teenage angst with the forbidden love of vampires and mortals in a book that now segues to the big screen. Considered "The Mormon Anne Rice," Stephenie Meyer has brought all that together while keeping a moral ground.
I guess many of these girls want to be Bella. Even a young preteen girl asked Robert Pattinton who plays Edward to bite her on her neck.
Check out the video collage from the red carpet premiere of "Twilight." Plus the trailer of the film.
Bringing the cast and crew back together for "High School Musical 3: Senior Year" was the culmination of the High School Musical trilogy. Here's a quick recap of the premiere held at USC's Galen Center in Los Angeles, CA.
Kenny Ortega.
Last night definitely was the night for anyone that's a fan of the "High School Musical" films. Jumping from the small screen to the big screen was a task in itself. Bringing the sights, sounds and music had Kenny Ortega and crew ensuring that this would be the best High School Musical" film yet.
The Wildcats of East High took over two city blocks of Los Angeles causing an exciting traffic jam as fans lined the street bordering University of Southern California. From the marquee of "High School Musical" to gigantic posters plastered throughout the red carpet exuded the excite of the film even if you were not a fan of the films.
The tv show Extra had an extra special photo booth for the celebrities to take a shot of themselves on the Extra stage with usnaps.com's photo booth.
Alongside the photo booth, guests were given pompoms to cheer on the talent while watching the film. The screams in the air while the stars showed up was drowned out as the USC Marching Band took the the carpet with their drums, trumpets and all the musical instruments that enhances the Go! Fight! Win! spirit lifted the spirits of the premiere goers.
As the calvacade of celebrities from the Disney shows such as "Wizards of Waverly Place," made their way down the carpet, we finally saw the cast slowly come through. First off was Alyson Reed who played Ms. Darbus. How young she looked without the glasses and the wig.
Alyson Reed.
Then Kaycee Stroh strolled on the carpet with a lovely beige number that flowed on her nicely. As she was being interviewed by ET, she showed us why she was a part of the "High School Musical" phenomena with her hip-hop shoulder moves.
Kaycee Stroh.
Ryne Sanborn took to the carpet in a dapper suit. Selena Gomez of "Wizards of Waverly Place" was looking cute as ever. Looks like she's going to give Miley Cyrus a run for her money.
Ryne Sanborn.
David Henrie arrived with Lucy Hale of the tv show "Priviledged."
Madison Pettis definitely had her game plan on for the premiere as she waved and smiled for the cameras.
Finally after a long wait, Ashley Tisdale made it to the red carpet with a new hair color. No more blond for this sexy chick as she plans to release a more rocky and edgier album this coming February or April.
Ashley Tisdale.
As she walked the carpet the photographers went crazy trying to get her attention to look at her camera. Thankfully for me, I did a 1:1 interview with her this past Sunday. So when I took my camera away from my face, I waved at Ashley hoping she'd remember my face from the interview. To my surprise she stared into my camera lens for a good 30-45 seconds which is really good when shooting the big name stars of the movie.
Oleysa Rulin was sporting a nice tan and piercing eyes that were hidden behind glasses in the film.
Oleysa Rulin.
Vanessa Hudgens wore a beige dress. As she was being interviewed by ET, Ashley came back from the other end of the carpet to make sure to say surprise and say hi to her. Was a bit cute to see them shriek at each other in excitement.
Vanessa has a cute smile.
Ashley Surprises Vanessa during her interview with ET.
However, Zac Efron's appearance made more girls shriek on the streets surrounding the event as he exited from his limo. Looking all dapper and fresh from a new tan, Zac helped mesmerize the fans into excitement.
Zac freshly groomed.
After the last celebrity left along with the majority of the photographers, Paula Abdul showed long after the press were wrapping up. Not a single photographer took a shot of her. I tried to get her attention by shouting, "Hey, Paula!" Didn't work...It was like a Sunday driver with no cares in the world and not paying attention to her surroundings.
Monique Coleman.
Corbin Bleu
Oh well, that was the red carpet event for "High School Musical 3: Senior Year."
At least I know I made a young girl happy. More importantly my niece Madison as she was able to experience the excitement of a premiere for a movie she loves.
Until next time, "Over The Shoulder!" And don't forget to watch "High School Musical 3: Senior Year" this coming October 24, 2008.
Last night was the premiere of Eagle Eye at the Grauman's Chinese Theater. The usual suspects arrived at the premiere including Shia LaBeouf, Michelle Monaghan, Billy Bob Thornton along with guests Megan Fox, Aaron Yoo, and Malin Akerman.
Here's a few quick vid clips I took while trying to juggle taking photos and video taping the celebs as they walked the carpet.
Megan Fox posing for the cameras
Shia LaBeouf taking his turn for the photogs. He kept his broken hand in his pocket.
Malin Akerman looking cute in her dress

Eagle Eye opens in theaters on September 26, 2008...
Surprise, surprise! It's another cold night in Hollywood as we freeze our arses off for the new Paris Hilton film, "The Hottie and The Nottie" Sorry, I'm having a hard time blogging live with my Blackberry and my fingers freezing up. But it's all right as the atmosphere is like being at a nightclub with house music blaring from speakers and a live deejay bumpin the glowstick moving jams. Can't wait to see if Paris actually grooves down the red carpet and twirling like she's about to vogue down the red carpet. Here's a shot of my photo colleague Valarie waiting for the premiere to start. I'll be posting photos in a bit.
Well the premiere finally got started about 15 mins later than expected with Paris running fashionably late also. It definitely was worth the wait because Miss. Hilton was dress in a stunning pink number decked out with a diamond necklace and bracelet. That girl definitely knows how to get a crowd wild about her by just posing. Photographers screaming left and right to get her attention even me making a "Hey Paris, right here! Woohoo! Paris!" I hardly get star stuck but I think it was because Paris definitely looked the Hottie that she is.
Oh no, more flashes? I've got a headache. No, this is my fashion pose baby!
In her new movie, "The Hottie and The Nottie," Paris plays Cristabel Abbott, a sexy single with a less than sexy friend named June Phigg (Christine Lakin). It's been years since Nate Cooper (Joel David Moore) has seen the crush of his life when his family had to move away at six years old before any young romance is to blossom. Years later, Nate finds out that Cristabel is still single for a reason. June is a part of Cristabel's life from being roommates to going to yoga together and even dates. To get to Cristabel, Nate must find a way to get less than appealing June out of the way.
In real life, the actress who plays June is a hottie herself. Christine Lakin definitely is not what you see on the movie screen. Wearing a green satin dress, Christine showed us that she's hot herself. But on this cold night, the coldness was definitely showing with goose bumps all over her body if you were close enough. While heading back to the front of the carpet, Christine stopped right in front of me and mumbled, "It's so cold" and I answered back, "I can see that, you have goose bumps. Where's your coat?" "I have one but not with me" as her teeth started to chatter. But all in all, it seemed like she warmed up a bit when Paris arrived.
Christine Lakin lookin' hot!!!
Speaking of arriving, Paris' arrival actually stopped traffic. As she walked to one end the sidewalk to greet fans, other fans across the street on Hollywood Blvd just rushed through traffic to get to Paris. Thank god no one was hurt.
Another guest who looked hot was Alexa Vega. The Spy Kid girl definitely is growing up. Hmmm, we were all shocked to see her walking the carpet in a navel revealing top. Didn't realize it was summer. Oh wait it was a cold night in Hollywood.
Alexa, it's not summer yet, but looking sexy anyways.
One funny red carpet snub was that of Perez Hilton. As he started at the beginning of the carpet, not a single photographer snapped his photo. Hmm must still be the fact that he supposedly lifts and steals other photographers photos and claims as his own. Most major photo agencies has some lawsuit against him. Perez just whizzed on by the carpet like a hurricane not wanted.
Looks like there will be a lot of fans out to watch "The Hottie and The Nottie" including her family. The film opens on February 8 in limited release. Check your local paper to see if it's playing in your area.
Brother Conrad, mom Kathy and dad Rick showing love as they arrive on the red carpet for Paris' movie.
From "Finding Neverland" to "Charlie and The Chocolate Factory," Freddie Highmore has grown as an actor. Not just physically but also mentally as child actor. In his new film, "The Spiderwick Chronicles," Highmore plays twins Jared and Simon Grace who move into their great uncle Arthur Spiderwick. While living in the home, unexplained disappearances and accidents happen without any explanation in which Jared is blamed for. Trying to figure out what is causing these events, Jared, Simon and their sister Mallory (Sarah Bolger) are about to find the enchanting secrets that the Spiderwick estate holds.
There's no secret that Freddie is growing taller as demonstrated in last Thursday's premiere of film at the Paramount Theater on The Paramount Studio Lot in Hollywood. Mr. Highmore is as tall as his parents. But he can still play the dubious and lovable youthful characters in his movies.
Along for the support of the movie, Hayden Panettiere and brother Jansen made their appearance at the premiere. Looking strikingly beautiful in a red dress, Hayden's eyes had that sparkle that just makes anyone want to get to know her. Other guests included various child actors from Nickelodeon and a few from the Disney Channel.
"The Spiderwick Chronicles" opens at theaters nationwide on February 15.
That Thursday night was a busy night for me, so I sent my good friend Alex Sanchez to capture the excitement of "The Spiderwick Chronicles" Premiere for you to see.

Victoria Justice does the red carpet justice a cute leather jacket.
"The Ring 2 and 3" star David Dorfman feels at home with a cowboy hat.
Brad Rowe doesn't have to worry about treasures at this premiere.
Wearing a navy blue dress, Jessica Alba made her noticeable baby bump fashionably vogue. Her radiating face and lovely figure is doing nicely as her pregnancy moves forward. I predict she's going to have a girl.
Jessica Alba and Cash Warren proudly poses for the photogs.
Speaking of predictions, Jessica Alba was out in full force with and without her coat on for a cold night of the Los Angeles Premiere of "The Eye." In the Lionsgate feature, Alba plays Sydney Wells, an accomplished, independent, Los Angeles-based concert violinist. Blind after a childhood accident, Sydney undergoes a double corneal transplant which gives her sight. Her opthamologist Dr. Faulkner (Alessandro Nivola) help her adjust to her new found sight. However, along with her sight includes seeing the afterlife and beyond. From blurry figures to horrific images, Sydney sees more than she could imagine.
For the sight of the photographers, we didn't see any horrific fashion faux paus. Everyone on the carpet looked lovely. Guests who walked the red carpet included Girard Swan from the film "3:10 To Yuma," Bahar Soomekh of "Traffic," and Brazilian actor Dennis DiAngelo. From the movie, we also had co-directors David Moreau and Xavier Palud, Alessandro Nivola, Obba Babatunde, Fernanda Romera and Danny Mora.
The the dark maned beauty Bahar Soomekh shows how sultry she can be.
"3:10 To Yuma" star Girard Swan still has that roughneck cowboy look going on while wearing a suit.
"The Eye" Co-directors David Moreau and Xavier Palud brings back the grunge look with a mix of clean cut fashion.
The dashingly handsome Alessandro Nivola plays Jessica's opthamologist in the movie.
Fernanda Romera of "The Eye" makes a grand entrance with a tinted purple number.
Hard working film producer Paula Wagner shows that she knows how to work the carpet and strike a pose.
Guest Dennis DiAngelo shows his pearly whites to the camera.
For some of the photographers, Danny Mora was telling his lovely guest that these are the paparazzi. This irritated a few event photographers who actually corrected Danny Mora stating, "We're not chasing celebrities on the street. We've been invited and have credentials to take pictures. We're event photographers." But overall, other than that, the premiere went on without a hitch.
I think I better take some ear plugs next time especially if the lead actress is someone like Jessica Alba.
